'I shocked people by throwing a party after losing elections,' actress reveals

Speaking on the party, Adesiyan said she shocked several people including her supporters with the thank you party because winning for her is a continual growing process.

Nigerian actress, Funke Adesiyan has revealed why she held a thank you party days after losing her election to the All Progressive Congress candidate in Ibadan, Oyo State.

She said, 'Held a "Thank You" prayer and party for my supporters and people within my constituency on friday. Many people were shocked that despite we didnt win, i still had the courage to throw a party. Well, winning means different things to different people.

'To me, winning is growing and progress is a continual growing process. I didnt loose anybody to politics. Infact, my pandora is filled with knowledge. Im super grateful to God for life, progress and sound health,' she noted.

The Nollywood actress, who contested under the Peoples Democratic Party in Oyo State and Desmond Elliot, who contested and won a seat at the Lagos State House of Assembly, were the two celebrities that contested for the elections as others didn't make the primaries.
