Who's a true fashion icon: Those who wear clothes or underwear in public?

The 76-year-old famed designer opens up to Washington Post about what a true fashion icon is suppose to be.
''They're supposed to be fashion icons and they're not wearing anything,'' she said, reportedly in an exasperated tone. ''It's an obsession now.''
In particular, Ms. Herrera pointed out to three barely-there gowns at this year's Met Gala: JLo's dragon-embellished Versace, Kim K's feathery Roberto Cavalli, and Beyonce's heavily jeweled and see-through – Givenchy.
''The almost naked! Oh God! They're trying to get people to pay attention to them. In life, there should be a little mystery. If it's open so much, they look like fried eggs,'' Ms. Herrera said. ''Fashion is about proportion.''
Herrera explained that it is now viewed as 'modern' to be naked or nearly-naked, so other designers are turning out revealing designs to attract younger people.
Rather than baring it all, Ms. Herrera's designs are more about romance and classic glamour. They feature plenty of tulle and chiffon, beautiful floral patterns, and figure-flaunting - but still modest - silhouettes.
