Business Tycoon Calls Russell Brand 'A Wasted Loser'

Businessman Donald Trump and comedian Russell Brand engaged in a nasty digital fight on Thursday and the Twitter spat began when Trump tweeted that Brand is 'a major loser'

If you are not on Twitter yet, you better get yourself on it now because one of the world's richest businessmen is in a heated battle with popular British comedian Russell Brand a.ka. Katy Perry's ex husband.

The Twitter-war began after Russell appeared on an alleged Jimmy Fallon's late night show Thursday night. After watching the show, controversial businessman Donald Trump jumped on his social media page to blast the show's guest. He posted:

"I watched Russell Brand @rustyrockets on the @jimmyfallon show the other night—what the hell do people see in Russell —a major loser!"

According to UK's DailyMail, Trump's comments came three days after Brand appeared on 'Late Show with David Letterman' on Monday and NOT the 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' Trump claimed he watched. Brand is not scheduled as a guest this week on the show.

When Russell never responded, Trump posted another nasty tweet tagging his ex wife, saying: "@katyperry must have been drunk when she married Russell Brand @rustyrockets – but he did send me a really nice letter of apology!"

Russell finally responded with a tweet of his own posting: "@realDonaldTrump are you drunk when you write these tweets? Or does that foam you spray on your bald head make you high?"

Russell also suggested that Trump is not the entrepreneur he has claimed to be, by linking to an article that mentioned his multi-million dollar inheritance and financial aid from the US government.

Brand then later followed with another: "@realDonaldTrump I don't think your daddy left you any witty ripostes, and everything you have you inherited."

According to the article, Trump inherited between $40million and $200million from his father Fred Trump - who himself received government funds in both the Great Depression and World War II for projects.

Another tweet posted by Brand included a link to an April 2011 opinion article from The Atlantic which slammed Trump on several fronts.

Following Brand's heated tweets, Trump later pulled Perry more directly into the spat, writing '.@katyperry Katy, what the hell were you thinking when you married loser Russell Brand. There is a guy who has got nothing going, a waste!'

He also tweeted '.@katyperry I watched Russell Brand and I think his mind is fried - he looks really bad. Russell is a total joke, a dummy who is lost!'

Meanwhile Perry has so far remained silent in the  feud on Twitter.

We have to ask: Who's side are you on, Russell or Trump?
