RMD, Toolz are a year older

Nollywood veteran Richard Mofe Damijo is fifty-four years old today.

RMD has been one of the leading men in Nollywood since his breakout role in Check Mate where he acted the role of the playboy Segun Kadiri. Before then he was in the 1980's TV series .

Richard Mofe Damijo was also a reporter at Concord Newspapers and Metro Magazine.

In 1997 he starred in the classic Nigerian movie which starred then unknown Bimbo Akintola. Acting in other blockbuster like 'Hostages', 'Scores To Settle', 'Diamond Ring', and 'Keeping Faith', RMD became one of the biggest actors during the golden era of Nollywood.

After securing his legacy in the movie industry he moved into politics. He was appointed as the commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Nigeria.

He is back in the movie scene and has starred in the action thriller .

Today is also the birthday of media personality Tolu 'Toolz' Oniru.

Toolz, the BEAT FM OAP stepped into the scene into 2009 when she landed a job as a radio presenter on the radio station.

She is now the presenter of the popular BEAT FM show The Midday Show. Apart from radio duties, she is the presenter of the Ndani TV interview show The Juice. She is also the host of X-Factor West AFrica.

Toolz got engaged to Captain Tunde Demuren on May 25, 2015.
