According to Watchdog News, this car will be unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) technology show in Las Vegas.
Sources say this car is related to the Bulli Microbus Concept and will be presented by Volkswagen Passenger Cars chairman, Dr Herbert Diess.
Here is what the German carmaker has said, so far, about the concept.
"A completely new concept car…to illustrate the major changes that the car is set to go through in the next few years. Marks the beginning of a new era of affordable long-distance electromobility…innovative features will demonstrate the benefits to the customer that Volkswagen will be able to deliver in the near future thanks to the increasing interconnectedness of the motor car."
This concept is also expected to “give quite a clear glimpse of the latest developments in in-car infotainment that are on the verge of being launched onto the market”.
Earlier this month, the auto manufacturer decided to boost it's dwindling November sales and reduction in shares by making cars with flat batteries.
“We are developing a special vehicle architecture that foresees the installation of flat batteries. This will be a breakthrough for us."
It is no secret that Volkswagen is trying to make a major comeback, after it's embarrassing diesel scandal and it's horrifying implications.
