According to the Queen Elizabeth II, driverless cars will be seen on British streets in the next four years, Motorauthority reports.

While addressing the Parliament, the Queen said changes are being made to the United Kingdom's insurance legislation, which will help make autonomous cars a reality soon.

She said she intends to make her country a leader in the development of driverless cars, with these changes.

The Department for Transport supported her speech by saying these changes will also involve the presence of drones.

DailyMail reports that he said drones, along with a proposed first commercial spaceport, will also be introduced in this country's legislation.

"Driverless cars and commercial space flight might seem like something science fiction, but the economic potential of the new technology is huge and I am determined the UK gets maximum benefit", said Transport Secretary, Patrick McLoughlin.
