The Gene Ritvo Award for Design and Elegance has been awarded to the 2017 Ford GT.

In honour of this huge recognition, Pulse Nigeria has complied this list.

1. This car intends to have no competition: Ford's global performance vehicle chief engineer, Jamal Hameedi, says this car will have "the best power-to-weight ratio of any car on the market."

2. This model has superpowers: Caranddriver reports that this model will come with an "active" suspension. This means the GT will have the ability to lower or itself, when faced with inconsiderately designed driveway ramps and speed humps. This will be done with a button in the cabin.

3. It is race worthy: According to auto manufacturer, this car will compete in 2016 Le Mans, the World's oldest active sports car race. Since this race favors endurance, over speed, the GT will also focus on ultimate handling in "lap times, lap times, lap times."

4. It has a powerful engine: The GT is powered by the EcoBoost twin-turbocharged, direct-injected 3.5-liter V-6 engine, which produces over 600 horsepower.

5. It promises safety parking: There is a backup camera in the GT's diffuser.

6. It is made up of full carbon-fiber construction and body panels.

7. It has a jaw dropping, futuristic design.

8. Only 1000 cars will be sold.

9. Prices are expected to begin around $400,000.

10. Production is expected to begin in 2017.
