Singer talks Drake "stealing" from other cultures for his music, summer album

The Star Afrobeat singer also speaks so far on his journey with the music, what he wants to witness when he is on stage and more.

Wizkid after his controversial interview with DJ Semtex, stops by at BBCRadio 1 xtra with presenter Ace.

He talks about his journey so far, says he doesn’t feel like he’s achieved anything yet.

On whether he feels pressured by younger artists coming up, Wizkid said what he does rather is to support those artists by jumping on remixes and advance African music to the world.

About the ongoing discussion on Drake ‘’stealing” from other people’s culture to make music. Wizkid defends the Canadian superstar saying he is a true artist,  “Every smart artist knows that you need to collaborate,” he added.

Wiz describes his performance on stage as spiritual, that he gives it all when he mounts on that stage, and those are his true moments.

Speaking on his forthcoming album “Sounds From The Other Side”(SFTOS), he refused to reveal too much about it except naming featured artists and producers he worked with which includes Chris Brown, Diplo, TY Dolla Sign, Sarz, Legendury Beatz, Trey Songz, Drake among others.

On a lighter note, Ace asks Wizkid to pitch his tent between Nigerian jollof rice and Ghanaian jollof rice.
