These experiences are better left forgotten.

Loads of people have had run-ins with their boss — maybe they turned up late or forgot to send an important email — but some employees have had experiences they would prefer to wipe from memory entirely.

Inspired by a Quora thread which asked "what's the worst thing your boss has ever asked you to do," we gathered answers from the thread and from Reddit that will give you a whole new appreciation for your boss.

An employee was told to buy drugs for the boss.

Another employee was made to clean up the drugs from the night before.

Surprisingly, this isn't from the same user who was asked to buy the drugs. Aaron Wallis was once told to clean up leftover drugs left on his desk by his boss the night before.

Needless to say, he quit his job after sniffer dogs surrounded him at the airport days later.

One Quora user was told to flirt with clients to get her own way.

In an unethical move that probably knocks feminism back a good few decades, one worker says she was asked to flirt with clients to convince them to carry out menial tasks, including moving heavy tables and stereo systems.

She didn't take the advice onboard.

Another lent his boss $25,000 to help cover up his extramarital affair.

Getting involved in anyone's relationship is risky, let alone your boss'.

One generous Quora commenter was asked to lend his boss $25,000 to help cover up expenses incurred as the result of what must have been a very expensive affair. The employee obliged and even received a Jaguar sports car as collateral.

One boss asked an employee to dig up the dirt on his wife.

If you suspect that your partner may be cheating on you, your employees should be the last people you recruit to do the dirty work.

But that's exactly what this boss did, and he called a poor employee round to his house to search through his wife's computers.

An employee was forced to rummage through dumpsters for a set of dentures.

Most people would quit after being made to rummage through a dumpster for a set of dentures coughed up by an elderly, and very ill, customer.

The customer's family insisted they were in the dumpster after she was sick. It turns out they were in the elderly lady's bedroom and this employee's rummaging had been for nothing.

A woman was given a demeaning title because she was just a "young girl".

"He said he can't assign me the actual title because I'm a 'young girl' and such a move will infuriate my colleagues. I was a senior researcher at the time," she wrote.

Needless to say she declined and looked at her options.

This guy went bankrupt after his boss told cops he'd stolen the company vehicle and had to pay for damages.

A Reddit user crashed the company vehicle on the way back from a job. Unfortunately, it wasn't insured as a company vehicle, but as the boss' personal one. So his boss told the cops it had been stolen and insurance forced the employee to pay $50,000. Ouch.

One woman was asked to repair the zipper on her boss' pants — while he was wearing them

Need we say more?

A worker received a disciplinary for sleeping on the job — he was actually in a diabetic coma.

This Reddit user's boss felt so guilty he then tried to get him fired for not informing him that this could happen, and for not having a service dog.

This employee was threatened by his boss after handing in his notice.

After having his first kid with his wife, this Reddit user looked to move and find a new job. Upon handing in his notice, his boss told him he had signed a non-compete agreement and they they would be "

This worker was asked to delete their name off all their work and replace it with their boss'.

Apparently it was so people weren't confused by the "program ownership."

One person was asked to pop a spot on his boss' back.

He declined. His boss then offered him $100 to do it, and he declined again.

Luckily, some presumably cash-strapped individual overheard and accepted.
