Nigerian sport betting company adopts Betradar's gaming platform

Betradar is a brand of Sportradar AG which is based in St. Gallen, Switzerland. The company is a global service provider for many sports bookmakers, national and international sports federations, and media companies.

With this deal, Surebet247 seeks to offer Betradar’s virtual football products in its over 4000 retail stores across Nigeria.

Sheriff Olaniyan, Chief Executive Officer of Surebet247 stated that: “We have been closely monitoring the growing success of virtual sports and have evaluated all the products available to operators in Africa; Betradar has been able to deliver the product to suit the African market based on popular demand.

Nigeria is home to the second largest sport betting population in Africa.

According to a survey by Geopoll in March 2017, Nigerian spent over N21350 ($70) monthly betting on virtual sport betting platforms.

The report also projected that more of the country’s youthful population are likely to join the sports betting group, due to the aggressive marketing drive of some of the leading sport betting companies in Nigeria.
