ESPN's Doris Burke accomplished the seemingly impossible — she stunned the NBA's biggest curmudgeon, Gregg Popovich

On Tuesday night, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich seemingly met his match.

NBA coaches are required to answer two questions in between quarters during nationally televised games, and no coach hates the experience more than Gregg Popovich of the San Antonio Spurs. But on Tuesday he seemed to have finally met his match.

ESPN's Doris Burke was tasked with asking Pop the two questions, a job she has described as stressful, even when she has good questions. But after Popovich gave a typically terse answer to the first question ("We didn't score"), Burke swatted it back with the perfect follow-up.

"Think it is in my best interest, Mike, to leave it at that," Burke said to announcer Mike Breen.

Popovich seemed momentarily stunned and possibly impressed.

Burke seems to have found the secret to interviewing the NBA's toughest interview. Two days earlier, she followed up her first question by simply wishing herself a happy Mother's Day.
