Chivas’ The Venture is the brand’s global search to find and support the next generation of startups that want to succeed whilst making a positive impact on the lives of others. With over $1milliion in funding, Chivas’ The Venture inspires social entrepreneurs and those seeking positive change from around the world to pursue their ambition and realise their potential.

From the May 8 to June 8, the public from around the world will be able to show their support for their favourite finalist through an online voting mechanism. Each week, Chivas will share $50,000 amongst the finalists based on your votes. Over the course of five weeks, the public’s vote will determine how the first $250,000 in funding is split among the finalists. The winner(s) of the remaining $750,000 in funding will be decided on Thursday July 13 at the Chivas Venture Global Final in Los Angeles, after a high-stakes pitch in front of the judges and a live audience. RecyclePoints is a waste recycling social benefit venture that collects recyclable waste materials from registered households, and in turn rewards them with points, which they can accumulate and redeem for cash or other useful items offered through the iRecycle Store.

RecyclePoints also employs members of the youth called the ‘Wastebusters’ to ride electric tricycles and collect door-to-door recyclable waste such as plastic bottles, aluminium cans, newspapers, or cartons. These are then processed at a Collection & Sorting Hub by unemployed women from disadvantaged the communities, and sold on to recycling plants
