European businessman buys photo of a potato for €1 million

The famous potato photo was taken by acclaimed photographer Kevin Abosch in 2010 and is one of three versions of the print in existence, hence the hefty price tag.

Abosch says it's the most expensive photo he's ever sold, and most of his work typically goes for around $280,000 (about N55 million).

Abosch's works have been featured in several international magazine features and covers, including Vogue and some of his  subjects include Hollwyood heavyweights Johnny Depp, Steven Spielberg and Dustin Hoffman, Irish singer and political activist Bob Geldof and Pakistani teen activist Malala Yousafzai.
