Asthma-Free Idris Elba Makes It For ‘Mandela’ South African Movie Premiere

According to <a href="http://necolebitchie.com/2013/11/04/idris-elba-makes-mandela-premiere-after-suffering-an-asthma-attack-on-a-plane/" id="fbc2a5b9-fcde-5a59-a6ea-36a5c5e4c8b0">undefined</a>, although it looked as though he was not going to make it to the <strong>South African premiere</strong> of his latest film “”<strong>Nelson Mandela</strong><strong>Winnie Madikizela-Mandela</strong>

Idris later revealed his feelings about his health scare saying, “I've battled asthma most of my life and it just overwhelmingly took me down on Friday while I was sitting on a plane. It was a very scary moment for me. A doctor on the plane helped me through it. Thankfully I am here.”

We're so glad he’s okay and hopefully he'll catch some rest before hitting the promo circuit again.

Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom hits theaters in the U.S. on November 29. Meanwhile see pictures from the premiere:
